I feel crappy about this (which is why i'm being vague). However:
"EEJIT". Not 'idjit', nor 'eidjit', nor 'idget'. I do not care about urban dictionary. There is no d, and it is not pronounced with an exagerrated d sound. I don't know about the US(and I certainly wont say it's wrong if it's in American context) but eejit's how it's spelt in Ireland, and Scotland, at least where I've been and it is essentially an irish word. It gets used around here a lot. Hiberno-english adapted version of 'idiot'.
Now I feel lousy, as I appreciate people may not know this and the internet lies, but at least my OCD might stop gnawing.
